Jamaica Customs – GCT & Duty Relief for Hurricane Melissa Shipments

What’s Happening:

The Government of Jamaica has declared the country a disaster area under the Disaster Risk Management Act (DRMA) following Hurricane Melissa.

To support relief efforts, Customs Duty and General Consumption Tax (GCT) are being waived for 60 days on goods imported by the general public for disaster recovery.

Relief Period:

🗓 October 29, 2025 – December 31, 2025 (Updated from Nov 28)

Relief Code:

💬 Use Additional National Code (ANC) “CH9” when shipping or clearing relief items through Jamaican Customs.
